“A man should first direct himself in the way he should go. Only then should he instruct others.”

Imee is a dedicated meditator who maintains a deep and consistent practice, on and off the cushion.  She is a co-founder and teacher of the Philippine Insight Meditation Community, which was formed in 2011.  The community pays homage to the Triple Gem, incorporating the Dhamma teachings in every group meeting.  She envisions a world of virtuous and awakened people so she developed and co-founded Mindfulness Asia, which teaches mindfulness to schools, businesses, and athletic organizations with a secular approach.  She has a passionate commitment to eco-living and aspires to make an impact in helping to save the Earth, our home, through the teaching of mindfulness.  Imee began her Dhamma journey with the Goenka organization.  She consistently travels to Thailand to attend intensive retreats in Tharavadin monasteries in the Forest Tradition.  She also appreciates the heart-based approach of the Insight retreats in the USA.  Imee is a graduate of the Community Dharma Leadership Program at Spirit Rock in California.  She is blessed to have Carol CanoTara Brach, and Thanissaro Bhikkhu (Ajaan Geoff DeGraff) as her main guiding teachers.  Imee is currently receiving training at the UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center with Diana Winston.

Imee leads meditation and shares the Dhamma regularly with Philippine Insight Meditation Community.  She is available to teach Mindfulness to individuals, groups. schools, businesses (small or large), and sports and athletic organizations through Mindfulness Asia.
